Dr. Monique Adams-Derouen is a therapeutic optometrist and optometric glaucoma specialist. She is a graduate of the University of Houston-College of Optometry. Initially, she practiced in a well-known retina and general ophthalmology practice in Houston and then moved into private practice. She was appointed as an adjunct assistant professor for the UH-College of Optometry from May 1999 to May 2002. She is a member of the Harris County Optometric Society and is a member of the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Adams-Derouen believes in treating patients with complete respect and care. She believes in taking the time to address the total health of her patients in addition to providing quality eye care. She provides comprehensive eye examinations and specializes in the diagnosis and/or treatment of glaucoma, dry eyes and various eye diseases, including diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy. She also consults and co-manages LASIK with top cornea specialists in the Houston area.
